Paul Scholes tells Southgate to play this Manchester United star

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has told England boss Gareth Southgate, to consider playing Manchester United youngster Kobbie Mainoo.

Kobbie Mainoo didn’t get to feature for England in their lacklustre 1-1 draw against Denmark in their second group game at Euro 2024.

Paul Scholes has suggested Mainoo ought to start against Slovenia.

“Sunday AM thoughts. TAA [Trent Alexander-Arnold] left-back, Mainoo centre-mid, Palmer on the right…would give reasons but too many touchy ***kers out there,” Scholes posted on his Instagram.

England were outclassed in midfield by the Danes, as Manchester United’s Christian Eriksen ran the show.
