Big blow! £60m Olise opens up on why he rejected move to Manchester United

Bayern Munich have beaten Manchester United to the signing of Michael Olise.
Olise had long been a top target for Chelsea and Manchester United, but snubbed both clubs to move to Bayern Munich instead.
Manchester United were linked with Olise last summer but he instead penned a new deal with Crystal Palace, which included a new release clause.
Manchester United were keen on signing him this summer, but he instead agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich who activated his release clause last month.
According to the Frenchman, he joined Bayern to fulfil his dream of playing in the Champions League, something Chelsea and Manchester United couldn’t offer.
Speaking out after signing a five-year deal at Munich, Olise said: “The talks with FC Bayern were very positive, and I’m very happy to now be playing for such a big club.
“It’s a great challenge, and that’s exactly what I was looking for. I want to prove myself at this level and play my part in ensuring that we win as many titles as possible with our team in the coming years.”
