Manchester United reach transfer agreement for potential first summer signing

According to reports from France, Manchester United have seen a bid of £42.2m for Leny Yoro accepted by Lille.
United have been monitoring the centre-back for some time, and are now set to seal a deal.
Two bids for Jarrad Branthwaite, the latest of which was £45 million plus a further £5m in add-ons, have been rejected by Everton, as manager Erik ten Hag is keen to sign at least one new centre-back this summer.
Yoro is also attracting interests from the likes of Chelsea, PSG and Real Madrid.
According to L’Equipe’s Nabil Djellit, Manchester United have submitted a formal offer of €50m (£42.2m) plus add-ons for Leny Yoro and that has been accepted by Lille, which is superior ‘superior’ to Madrid’s.
All that’s left is for Manchester United to reach an agreement with Yoro, with reports claiming that Yoro’s preference is to join the Champions League holders, Real Madrid.
Real Madrid, on their part, are yet to agree a transfer fee with Lille, as the Spanish champions are only willing to go up to £33.7m for the young defender.
United are also working on the signing of Matthijs de Ligt, who wants to leave Bayern Munich.
