Manchester United legend returns to the club

Manchester United have confirmed that Rene Hake and Ruud van Nistelrooy have joined the club as assistant managers to Erik ten Hag.
Hake and Van Nistelrooy have signed two-year deals with Manchester United.
Ten Hag decided to bring in the duo to strengthen the coaching team ahead of the new season.
Van Nistelrooy managed PSV Eindhoven in the 2022-23 Eredivisie season, securing a second-place finish and winning the Dutch Cup, before resigning ahead of the final day of the season. Hake previously worked in the Netherlands, including spells as head coach at Twente and Utrecht.
Ten Hag said of the deal: “I am delighted that Rene and Ruud have agreed to join our project, adding a wealth of experience, knowledge and new energy to the staff.
“Now is a good time to refresh the coaching team as we look to build on the achievements of the past two years and push to the next level.”
Coaching staff members Mitchell van der Gaag and Benni McCarthy have parted ways with the Red Devils.
Van Nistelrooy featured for Manchester United between 2001 and 2006, and was a top player for United scoring 150 goals in 219 appearances.
