Ten Hag told he could be sacked within two weeks

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was scared for his job towards the end of last season.
Ten Hag was rumoured to get the sack if he loses the FA Cup. United ended up putting a fine display to beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
Rather than get the sack, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS firmly backed Ten Hag by giving him a new contract.
Manchester United are not believed to be considering a managerial change at this time.
Meanwhile, veteran striker Teddy Sheringham has warned Ten Hag that he could still be sacked quickly, if things go south.
Speaking to OLBG, Teddy Sheringham said: “Even though he has signed a new contract, there are no guarantees over Erik ten Hag’s job.
“Anything can happen in football, he could be sacked within two weeks if Manchester United had three bad results.
“Then again if he has three good results [into the 2024/25 season] he could be as strong as ever, that’s football these days.”
