Report: Manchester United closing in on two Bayern Munich players

Manchester United are reportedly closing in on Bayern Munich duo Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.
The move for the Bayern duo could likely cost Manchester United in excess of £60m.
According to reports, Bayern have accepted a bid from United of €45m (£38.6m), plus €5m (£4.29m) in add-ons for De Ligt, captain of Erik ten Hag’s Ajax side that reached the Champions League semi-final in 2019.
Reports also claim Manchester United are set to pay €15m (£12.87m) for Morocco defender Mazraoui.
Mazraoui’s arrival had been linked to the exit of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, whose proposed move to West Ham is progressing positively.
On reports that Matthijs De Ligt has signed for Manchester United, Ten Hag said before the Community Shield clash against Manchester City: “I don’t know, I can’t talk about players under contract at other clubs. When we have the news, we will bring it.”
