Talented player pens farewell to Manchester United fans as he leaves the club

Talented Uruguayan winger Facundo Pellistri has penned an emotional goodbye to Manchester United fans after completing a permanent transfer to Greek side Panathinaikos.

Facundo Pellistri thanked the Manchester United fans for the support he received during his time at Old Trafford, and claims they helped him grow.

Pellistri has said that Manchester United would always hold a special place in his heart.

“Dear Reds. My time has come to say goodbye. It’s been an incredible journey, full of unforgettable moments and experiences that I will cherish forever,” he wrote. 

“Your unwavering support, both on and off the pitch, is something I will remember for ever. I’ve grown as a player and as a person, and that’s because of you. As you say, once a Red, always a Red. Manchester will always hold a special place in my heart. Wishing the club and all of you nothing but the best for the future.”

Pellistri joined Manchester United in 2020, and was seen as a huge talent.

The 22-year-old will now reunite with former Uruguay manager Diego Alonso at Panathinaikos, who handed him his international debut in 2022.
