Momentary loss in concentration cost Manchester United against Brighton

Manchester United continued their bad record against Brighton with a 2-1 defeat at the Amex Stadium.
Former Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck opened the scoring in the 31st minute for the hosts, and the first-half ended with the Seagulls leading 1-0.
Manchester United started second-half strongly, and dominated play until Amad Diallo’s deflected shot levelled the scores on the hour mark.
United continued to press, and looked like they had gotten the winner when Joshua Zirkzee used his knee to convert Alejandro Garnacho’s already goal-bound effort. Zirkzee was offside, and thus the goal ruled out by VAR.
Manchester United were made to pay for their poor defending as Joao Pedro scored a free header in the 95th minute to send the Amex into raptures.
