Dan Ashworth reveals why Sancho left Man United

In a recent interview, Manchester United sporting director Dan Ashworth revealed the reason behind Jadon Sancho’s loan to Chelsea, with Chelsea having an obligation to buy permanently.
Ashworth believes that Man United have four good wingers already in Marcus Rashford, Antony, Amad Diallo and Alejandro Garnacho, and Jadon Sancho could be considered as the fifth.
“We felt we had enough depth in that particular position [on the wing] to be able to cover it,” said the Man United sporting director at a recent press conference.
“We’ve got four really good wide players; Jadon [Sancho] was a fifth, and it just enabled us to make that decision that if it was good for him and good for us it was something we were willing to consider.”
When asked if Sancho’s feud with Erik ten Hag last season had anything to do with the departure, Ashworth replied: “Nothing to do with that.
“It was a decision that we made- if it’s right for Jadon and it’s right for us to move on.
“He wanted to explore the opportunity at Chelsea, like Scott [McTominay] wanted to explore the opportunity at Napoli, like Aaron [Wan-Bissaka] wanted to explore the opportunity at West Ham.
“We’re not in a position where we’re kicking players out of the club.”
Speaking lies like politicians when the damage is obvious. The Club is in shambles and the reason being the manager. Can’t be losing great stars in such manner. Sancho is great, world class player to cheaply lose him. Even Scot and the others. Shape up guys.
