Incoming boss Ruben Amorim reveals what he likes about the Premier League

Manchester United are set to confirm the appointment of Ruben Amorim as their next manager, following the dismissal of Ten Hag.

Ruben Amorim spoke to the press ahead of Sporting’s clash with Estrela Amadora on Friday.

In his press conference, Ruben Amorim was asked for his views on the Premier League, and he seemed enthusiastic about a move to the EPL.

He replied with a smile: “What do I like about the Premier League? Everything.”

Sporting Lisbon have already accepted Amorim’s departure after Man United agreed to pay the manager’s £8.3m release clause.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has given his verdict on the deal.

“Rúben Amorim can be considered new Man United manager, confirmed,” he reports.

“Portuguese coach will start new Man United chapter during the international break; documents to be signed this week.

“Contract until 2027. Sporting to receive €10m clause — plus €1m for staff/30 days notice.”
