Manchester United vs Leicester City: Alan Shearer gives his prediction

Manchester United recently defeated Leicester City 5-2 in the Carabao Cup. It was Ruud van Nistelrooy’s first game as interim manager of Manchester United.

United now host Leicester City in the Premier League today.

Newcastle United legend and Premier League icon Alan Shearer, is backing a similar result at Old Trafford today.

He predicted for Betfair via Metro: “Manchester United will have too much for Leicester here.

“It wouldn’t surprise me if it ends similarly to the Carabao Cup game, as I’d fancy them to score a few goals again with how they play, and how open Leicester are.

“Ruben Amorim won’t be here yet, but I think after Sporting’s win over Man City, there will be an extra buzz in the air at Old Trafford.”
