The Glazers are willing to sell Manchester United for this amount and won’t accept anything less
Manchester United fans are desperate for the Glazers to give up ownership of the club and sell Manchester United following years of poor management.
The American owners have been criticised by Manchester United fans since they bought Manchester United back in 2005 for £790 million.
The relationship between the Glazer family and Manchester United worsened even more after Manchester United decided to join the unsuccessful European Super League.
According to The Mirror, the Glazers are demanding a staggering £4billion to sell Manchester United following protest from fans and won’t accept anything less.
Throughout their unpopular 16-year ownership the Glazers have always insisted they are in United for the long haul and have shown no appetite to sell the club, instead taking yearly dividends amounting to millions while the debt stays high.
However, Joel and Avram Glazer, who effectively run the club, will be reportedly happy to sell the club if they receive an offer of £4billion.
The Glazers believe the £4billion price tag is justified because of Manchester United’s unique heritage and commercial pulling power that allows them to continually secure big money sponsorship deals.
Despite demonstrations against the US owners, unless a buyer comes up with £4billion or very close, United fans seem stuck with the Glazer ownership for the foreseeable future.
