Man United star blames himself for David de Gea’s error against Everton
Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot says he was responsible for David de Gea’s goalkeeping error during Manchester United’s win over Everton.
Manchester United sealed a place in the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 3-1 win over The Toffees on Friday night.
“I spoke to David at half-time and he was not expecting the ball to go through his legs, even I was not expecting the ball to go through his legs, so I will take responsibility,” Dalot told beIN Sports.
“I could have reacted a little bit quicker.
“Credit also to the Everton player [Coady] who reacted quicker than me.
“I think it’s just things for us to learn, luckily we won with merit and we fight to score one more goal and I think we deserved to go through.”
